Turkey Steaks with Hot Salsa

If you don't have tome to make the salsa, simply use a ready made jar.

Ingredients

  • 4 turkey steaks
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 stick celery, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, deseeded and diced
  • 1 yellow pepper, deseeded and diced
  • 400 g can chopped tomatoes
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp tabasco sauce

Method

  1. Heat a little oil in a frying pan, then cook the turkey over a medium heat for 8 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and keep warm.
  2. To make the salsa, heat a little oil and cook the onion for 3 minutes. Add the cellery and peppers and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes, the leaves from the thyme and the tabasco. Season and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve the turkey with the salsa, along with peas.
