Stir-fry

A very simple chinese dish, best served with noodles. Any kind of meat can be added to the sir-fry, or it can be made purely of vegetables. Generally any vegetables you have can be used. I have include a selection of my favourites.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 250g poultry, beef, lamb or pork, cut into strips (optional)
  • 1 medium onion, cut into strips
  • 1 red pepper, cut into strips
  • 250g baby sweetcorn
  • Jar of stir-fry sauce
  • 250g beanspouts
  • 100g carrotts, cut into strips

Method

  1. If using meat, cook thoroughly in a wok or frying pan.
  2. Add the vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour over the jar of sauce and continue to cook for a further 5 minutes.
