Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Spaghetti
  • 1/2 lb mince
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1/2 pint beef stock (made with a stock cube)
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 oz cheese, grated

Method

  1. Brown the mince in a frying pan and drain the fat.
  2. Stir in the onion and garlic and fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour and tomato puree, mixed herbs and stock.
  4. Return to the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions, usually heat in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Drain and place on plates. Add the bolognese over the top of the spaghetti and sprinkle with grated cheese.
