Ingredients
- 1/2 lb beef steak, chopped into chunks
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 2 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 1/2 pint beef stock
Method
- Fry the staek in a pan. Once cooked, remove from the pan and set aside.
- Place the onion into the empty pan and cook until it starts to soften.
- Add the carrot and continue to fry for a further 4 minutes. Add the mushrooms.
- After 1 minute, take the pan from the heat and stir in the tomato puree, flour and stock.
- Return to the heat, stirring continuously. Bring to the boil, simmer for five minutes then stir in the beef.
- Cover and continue to cook for a further 15 minutes.
- Serve with sliced, cooked potatoes.
