Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 4 oz soft margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 oz self-raising flour
  • 4 oz caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp demerara sugar

Method

  1. Mix the margarine, eggs, flour, caster sugar and milk together.
  2. Stir in the apples, then turn into a dish. Sprinkle with demerara sugar.
  3. Bake the pudding in a pre-heated oven at 190°C for 40 minutes.
  4. Serve warm and with custard.
